Despite the freezing weather and the rain, my trip was awesome. :)
This time i'm gonna post about the whole thing even though my head is throbbing for no reason (maybe i shall not go to sch tmr!)
Day 1 - Friday
Woke up at around 9am despite initial plans to leave the house @ 8am. In the end we left at 10, reached the checkpoints at 10.30 and arrived at the foot of camerons at 6pm. On the way up, it was really dangerous 'cos it had just rained and it was misty and visibility was very, very poor. Imagine driving up almost 60km around blind spots (bends where you cannot see if there are oncoming cars. AKA you can just crash and fall off the mountain). Like that:
Ok then we reached Tanah Rata (a town) and went to eat @ Uncle Chow's Kopitiam :D They were happy and rather surprised to see us and we ate dinner :)
Ok then jo-elle and I camwhored a little and we found out that the mist is really very scary! Look at the same place during the mist and not during the mist, notice the difference!
With mist VS no mist. It's so diifferent ok!
Then after that went to KRS pines to check in, aunty magaret and roso were happy to see us and told us that they were worried as it was quite late already!
Went to our rooms then jo-elle and I had nothing to do so we took silly photos..
OK then i THINK we went to the pasar malam and walked around. TOTALLY FORGOT TO GET STUFF FOR M
Y FRIENDS ): Sorry for those who asked! After that went back to KRS and bathed - the water was rather hot but i was still freezing after that haha, the typical cameron highlands chill.
Day 2 - Saturday
Woke up at 9am to the usual barks of Jojo (conincidentally KRS pine's dog) and chickens clucking away.. Changed and went to the porch area to sit and swing with elle. <3 Then left for BOH Tea plantations. Was quite reluctant to go 'cos the trip up to the plantations is much more dangerous than the trip up camerons itself. It's a very small lane and many tourists are driving up and down and ohwells, we had to be very careful. Lots of planning had to be made on the spot so that all the cars could go through safely.
When we finally reached the top we actually have to walk up a series of steps to the actual place.
OK haha finally we walked up (actually we've been here quite a number of times) so we went to buy tea and stuff. After that walked down and went to eat brunch at uncle chow's again. :D
^^^^ the night before at the pasar malam elle and i got our names engraved on a stainless steel thing and they made it into matching necklaces for us! <3 it!
After breakfast we went back to the hotel to sleep and do homework. Haha, i wasn't really doing homework, i was on facebook and blogger and twitter :DD Haha same for elle. (We brought 2 laptops). Mum was talking to other guests downstairs and dad was snoozing. At around dinnertime went to uncle chow's again (yes we love that place!!!) for an early dinner. Took a drive down to the nuesery at Brinchang (another town, lol hahah!) and in the end didnt buy anything cos we were scared the S'pore immigration checkpoints confiscate them like the last trip.
Haha elle and i were quite bored cos we plants don't really fascinate us. After that we went back to KRS to watch dvds (Meet Dave) and sleep.
Day 3 - Sunday
Woke up at 9am+. Left for another tea plantation that we haven't been to. Had to walk all the way down and then all the way up. Most of the photos are with my dad in his camera! But here are some. When we walked down there was a little stream and a waterfall.
Then after walking up we were SO EXHAUSTED. Yeah i know i'm rather out of shape. D: Hahah ok. Then went to look for food @ the pasar malam at Brinchang then we realised that no night market in the afternoon on sundays (sometimes they open as early as lunchtime~!!) So we ate at some nearby hawker center - SATAY <3 Hahahha. After that we went back to KRS cos it was raining really heavily and it was so cold!
Did a little facebook-ing and collected my stuff @ farmville haha my crops died ): Then went down for crab that aunty magaret cooked. Then sat down to watch Mr Bean and Ratatouille together (LOL i wanted to scoff at mr bean's stupidity so i agreed to watch even though i hate it). Then mum and dad went up to sleep while i chit chatted with roso and aunty magaret till late. (BTW they are our friends - the caretakers of KRS Pines)
Day 4 - Monday
GOING HOME DAY (today). Woke up by jo-elle teo's stupid "Shut up and let me go" phone alarm (i bet it jolted some other guests out of bed too) WTH so went to bathe and pack everything. Then lingered around talking to aunty magaret and roso before finally leaving ); Bid farewell to roso who may be going back to indonesia in sept '09.

OK THEN WE LEFT CAMERON HIGHLANDS AHH. For the first time ever, i felt totally carsick on the drive down. My head was spinning cos the roads were really winding and i felt like puking (no, sleeping wont help, you're moving from side to side with every turn the car makes). When we finally reached the main road on ground level, i was sweating like some mad pig cos it was SO SCORCHING HOT! Omfg. Then we drove all the way back to singapore. The weather is really terrible here, i could literally feel the difference.
up there it is 20 degrees on a sunny day. when it's raining it's around 14-16 degrees.
Ok now i'm back home. I think Singapore has a spell on our family. Whenever we're here we're not at peace but once we're out, we get along really well!
